How do I find influencers who mention specific brands or products?
Learn how to effectively find relevant mentions.
Yes, in the “General” section of the IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite, you can use the “Mentions” or “Hashtags” filter to specifically search for mentions of a brand. The platform then analyzes which influencers have already mentioned a brand or discussed it in a campaign. This gives you valuable insights into which creators are already engaging with your brand — often without a direct collaboration — and allows you to leverage them for future projects. Additionally, you can use the Relations feature to set up comprehensive social listening.
Two methods for identifying relevant mentions
- Finding mentions of your brand: Enter your brand’s profile name or an associated keyword, such as “YourBrand” or “ProductX.” This helps you identify
creators who have positively mentioned your brand, for example through product reviews, testimonials, or spontaneous mentions in their content. Organic mentions are especially relevant, as they reflect genuine interest and can naturally increase your reach.
-
Analyzing campaign hashtags: Search for specific hashtags you have used in past campaigns, e.g., #YourCampaign or #BrandEvent. This helps you discover people who have engaged with your marketing activities and shared them in posts or stories. You gain insights into who actively supports your brand and has already created reach for your message.
Note: You don’t need to type a hashtag or an @ symbol, as the platform automatically recognizes the relevant entries.
Relations as Social Listening
Relations analyzes all publicly available Instagram feed posts and categorizes mentions into three types: organic mentions (genuine, unpaid mentions), sponsored content (paid collaborations), and unpaid advertising (mentions with a commercial context without sponsorship disclosure). In the screenshot below, you can see the visual representation: dots mark mentions over a period, e.g., from January to February, and indicate which profiles have mentioned the creator or brand that was used for the report. This helps you identify authentic partnerships and understand which brands and influencers are present in specific networks.
How to Analyze Competitors with Relations
Relations allows you to take competitor analysis to the next level: you can see which influencers mention your competitors and which creators they collaborate with. In the Relations Report, you can analyze networks in detail, who works with whom, and which brands are active? This provides valuable insights for building strategic partnerships, identifying untapped potential, and optimizing your influencer marketing campaigns.
Currently, Relations is available exclusively for Instagram feeds, as Stories cannot be archived due to GDPR. Use the Relations Report to expand your social media strategy while simultaneously running a powerful social listening tool to monitor your competitors.
