As a brand, can I unlink an influencer’s IROIN® Connect myself?

Disconnecting IROIN® Connect – How it works

IROIN® Connect is a central component of the IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite, allowing you to directly link Instagram profiles to your campaigns and strategies. This allows you to incorporate insights without additional communication – data for which you would otherwise have to request screenshots from influencers, such as story insights or precise data on the performance of posts and reels on Instagram. With IROIN® Connect, you keep track of all important information and can plan your campaigns more efficiently without having to rely on manual updates. For data protection reasons, the connection can only be canceled by the influencer themselves. However, you can request the influencer to disconnect at any time (see "How?" below).

How can influencers cancel the connect?

There are two options:

  1. Change Facebook password
    → This will automatically remove all existing third-party access, including IROIN®.

  2. Remove the IROIN® app from Facebook settings
    → They can manually delete the IROIN® connection in their meta account under “Apps and Websites”.

Our tip: Give the influencer a short guide or forward this information directly – the process usually only takes a few minutes.

When does a Connect expire automatically?

A Connect is valid for approximately six months. After that, the connection expires automatically for security reasons. In this case, the influencer must reconnect once – just like the first time.

What happens to the data when the Connect ends?

Even after you've broken the connection, the influencer remains in your database so you can consider them again for future collaborations. All previous data, such as previous campaign information, notes, or insights, is saved and can be accessed at any time.

This ensures you don't lose any valuable information, even if the active collaboration is paused. This process allows you to flexibly adjust relationships without losing track, and your influencer database always remains up-to-date and well-organized. This allows you to focus on planning and executing your campaigns, while IROIN® Connect makes managing connections easier for you.
