What are the three ways to search for creators in Discovery?

Learn more about the Holy Trinity of creator search in IROIN®: Influencer Search, Content Search, and Relations.

The IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite offers three powerful pillars to precisely find the right creators for campaigns – what we call the Holy Trinity of creator search. Depending on your strategy, you can search based on profiles, individual posts, or entire networks.

1. Influencer Search: Filter Profiles Precisely

The Influencer Search allows you to identify the right creators for a campaign through a wide range of filters. Users can choose from over 45 filter options to get a detailed view of potential collaboration partners. Important filters include:

  • Follower Count: Find Nano, Micro, Macro, or Mega influencers depending on your campaign focus.

  • Engagement Rate: Identify highly interactive and trustworthy communities, which often show high engagement.

  • Follower Growth: Spot accounts with dynamic development and strong organic reach, finding influencers who maintain or grow their audience.

  • Demographics: Target followers by age, gender, or location for a precise reach.

You can either manually search the database using these filters or use the AI search, which allows you to input multiple keywords and initial settings in natural language. Additionally, manually setting the target audience in the filters can further refine the results.


2. Content Search: Discover Content Strategically

While Influencer Search focuses on filtering profiles directly, Content Search focuses on discovering posts first. This approach mirrors the mechanisms that social media platforms, especially since TikTok’s rise, primarily use. This method is ideal when searching for relevant content to use in campaigns.

You can manually set filters to find posts with a specific aesthetic or visual characteristics. This method is particularly useful for:

  • Industry or Trend Analysis: Which creators are currently discussing certain topics or have a specific visual style, like curly hair?

  • Targeted Hashtag Searches: Who is using specific hashtags in their posts?

  • Finding new UGC creators who produce strong content on a topic.

On platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, the content itself often matters more than the profile. A viral video can reach huge audiences, even if the creator doesn’t have millions of followers. However, it’s still essential to ensure the content comes from a creator with a relevant audience to guarantee campaign success. The Discovery Report is recommended to examine target audiences and performance.


3. Relations: Discover Networks

While Influencer Search filters profiles and Content Search identifies strong posts, Relations takes it a step further: it shows how creators are connected to each other and to brands.

This feature is part of the Discovery module and has its own dashboard in the left-hand navigation under "Discovery." Unlike Influencer or Content Search, Relations focuses not just on individual profiles or posts but on entire network structures on Instagram.

Key Tips Before Searching

Before starting an Influencer or Content Search, consider:

  • Which topics and hashtags are relevant to the campaign?

  • Which target audience should be reached?

  • Do I want to find specific influencer types or analyze individual posts?

The clearer the goals are defined beforehand, the more precisely the IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite can be used for effective discovery. Combining Influencer Search and Content Search allows you to quickly identify the right creators and content to activate for campaigns.
