Learn why some profiles may not appear in Discovery

Reasons why some influencers and creators may not appear

The IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite offers a powerful search function to find influencer profiles by their channel name. However, some profiles may not appear directly through the channel name search. There are several reasons for this, which are explained in detail below:

  1. Low Follower Count

Not all social media profiles are listed in Discovery. Typically, accounts with at least 1,500 followers are classified as influencers and are included in our database. If a channel does not meet this threshold, it may not appear in search results. If you are looking for a profile that meets this requirement but still cannot find it, contact your Customer Success Manager.

  2. Recent Profile Name Change

If an influencer has changed their channel name, it can take up to 30 days for the update to be reflected in the IROIN® database. If no searches for this profile have been conducted since the name change, it may not yet be indexed. In this case, it is worth checking the profile manually on the platform or using alternative search methods.

  3. Private Profile or Restricted Visibility

Influencers with private or restricted profiles cannot be found in Discovery. These profiles are subject to stricter privacy settings, so our software cannot list them in the public database.

  4. Incorrect or Inaccurate Channel Name Entry

Although the IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite often finds profiles even if the channel name is not entered exactly, typos or incorrect spellings can prevent results from appearing. It is recommended to try different spellings or alternative names.

Pro Tip: Use Alternative Search Methods
If a channel cannot be found by name, you can try other search approaches while discovering additional interesting profiles:

  • Hashtag or Keyword Search: If the influencer posts about a specific topic, you can use relevant terms in the filters under the "General" section.

  • Platform-Based Filters: Using specific audience or engagement filters can help locate influencers indirectly.

  • Manual Platform Check: If the channel name is unknown or has changed, checking the social networks directly can help verify the current name.

Using these methods ensures you can find relevant profiles even when the channel name search does not yield direct results.
