What is IROIN® Connect – and why is it relevant for you?
You're probably wondering: What exactly happens during this "Connect"?
It's simple: IROIN® Connect is an official interface provided by Meta that allows you to connect with your partner company. It's completely transparent, GDPR-compliant, and only with your consent.
The connection allows your partner to automatically capture performance data (e.g., reach, interactions, story insights) from your campaign posts – without you having to send screenshots. You remain completely flexible: Once a project is completed, you can simply disconnect.

Technical requirements: How to prepare everything
To ensure Connect works smoothly, you should follow these steps:
- Switch Instagram to a Business or Creator account.
Open the Instagram app, go to Settings → "Account type and tools" → "Switch to professional account" via your profile picture. Follow the instructions to configure your profile as a Business or Creator account.
- Create a public Facebook page.
Since the technical process runs through Meta's official interface, a Facebook page is required. Don't worry: You don't have to post any content. A simple, public page is perfectly sufficient.
On Facebook, go to "Pages" → "Create New Page," fill out the information, and ideally use your Instagram profile picture.
Set the page to public in the settings.

Link your Facebook page to your Instagram account.
Go to your Facebook page's settings → "Instagram" → "Link account".
If already linked, look for the "Switch Now" notice – click it to update the connection.

1. Click on the invitation link.
Once you open it, the connection process will start automatically.
2. Log in to Facebook and select your Instagram account.
Tip: If you manage multiple Instagram channels, make sure you select the correct one—namely, the one on which you publish content for the partner company. This is the only way tracking will work correctly.
3. Select the Facebook page linked to your Instagram account.
You will then be asked to confirm certain permissions. These permissions are technically necessary and are set directly by Meta – we at IROIN® have no influence over them.
What you should know:

❌ No access to private messages
✅ Only read rights for campaign evaluations such as reach, story insights & performance
Data protection? 100% under control.
The connection can be canceled at any time:
– By changing your password on Instagram
– Or via Facebook > Settings > Apps & Websites > Remove IROIN®.
Additionally, the connection will automatically expire after 6 months if you do nothing.
4. You're connected!
Once you've completed all the steps and agreed to the rights: Congratulations!
From now on, you're officially connected with your partner company. The technical foundation for your collaboration is in place – professional, secure, and transparent.
Do I risk having my account blocked by using Connect?
No. By connecting via IROIN®, you don't risk having your account suspended.
We use the official Meta API, which was developed for precisely this purpose – for secure, GDPR-compliant collaborations between creators and companies.
Which API does IROIN® use for Connect?
IROIN® uses the Instagram Graph API with Facebook Login , provided and monitored by Meta. To ensure GDPR compliance, we regularly undergo an audit process. Meta reviews how we use the API, including access to our system.
The following data is transmitted:

Profile information (e.g. name, profile picture, number of followers)

Insights (e.g. reach, impressions, audience statistics)

Story tracking (also visible after 24 hours)

Media information (e.g. likes, comments, publication time)
