How do I group influencers on specific topics?

Discover how to organize your creators efficiently

Why efficient grouping matters in influencer marketing

Influencer databases can grow quickly—especially when your campaigns span different industries, languages, or platforms. Without a system to categorize and group creators effectively, it's easy to lose oversight. Searching manually takes time, and selecting the right profiles for a campaign becomes guesswork. To help you stay organized and plan strategically, the IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite offers smart features to group creators by topic, campaign, or goal.

Discover how to organize your creators efficiently

If you want to group creators around specific topics, the IROIN® Influencer Marketing Suite offers two practical options. The first option is to sort profiles in the portfolio using keywords and categories for easy retrieval. The second option uses favorite lists in the Discovery module before permanently adding influencers to your portfolio. This allows you to optimally structure your database and improve your campaign planning.

Create lists in the portfolio

In Portfolio, your dedicated Influencer CRM within the IROIN® Suite, you can use keywords and categories. Using keywords like "fashion," "tech," or "fitness," you can categorize creators individually and group them by topic, making searches easier. Categories help you organize influencers by target groups, industries, or campaigns—your admin can customize these and other fields to suit your license. Share your ideas directly with your admin to optimize the structure. These tools allow you to organize your content flexibly and ensure you can quickly find relevant influencers when you need them for projects.

General information

You can assign multiple keywords to each profile, making it easier to run multi-filter searches and cross-reference creators across themes. Categories can include formats (e.g., “Short Form”), regions, or campaign stages (e.g., “Pitching,” “Active,” “Reported”).

Use favorite lists in the Discovery module

Before adding influencers to your portfolio, you can collect them in favorites lists in the Discovery module. This feature is ideal if you just want to review profiles for now without permanently storing contact details or information. This is especially useful if you're unsure whether a collaboration will take place.

The favorites lists provide an initial overview and can be exported, helping you evaluate potential partners without immediately making a firm commitment.

Lists can be renamed and grouped by campaign, topic, or language—whatever supports your working structure. You can share these lists internally before onboarding creators into the CRM.

Tip for effective use

Combine keywords and categories for targeted filters in your portfolio with favorite lists to pre-select influencers. This way, you can optimally organize your database and easily find them again. Note that favorite lists are intended for a preliminary overview—to collaborate, you need to add creators to your portfolio to capture data and integrate them into campaigns for monitoring, tracking, and reporting.

Keeping your structure clean: Quality assurance

To ensure your tagging and categorization system stays useful over time, it helps to review your keywords and category definitions regularly. Set a monthly reminder to clean up outdated tags and archive inactive profiles. This ensures your search filters stay sharp and your portfolio remains a reliable source for campaign planning.
